hotel finery

It's the 20th anniversary of the Pan Pacific Hotel and they're having a ridiculous sale on rooms: $86 a night (regularly starting around $360 a night)! The restaurants and lounge also have 1986 menu prices, so it's ridiculously cheaper than usual. The problem is it's only this week, payday isn't until Friday, and I would feel a bit like a loser staying at a hotel alone.

So after work my friend and I are going to one of the cheaper hotel eateries just so we can enter the draw for a $5000 stay at the hotel, everything included. I've worn my rattiest sweater today, knowing full-well noses will be looked down when I enter, but my friend can carry the slack, as she's girlie and generally well-dressed. I'm feeling like lobster bisque.

If you want to meet us in the lounge, we'll be there after 6pm. Unless we are already tossed on our asses out the door.
